British Airways cabin crew strike update
British Airways have advised that Unite's appeal has been upheld, reintroducing the threat of strike action.
The airline states on it's website, 'Our key concern now is to keep as many of you flying as possible and we will be proceeding with our contingency plans. We would like to apologise to any of you who are affected by the strike. We will do all we can to minimise the disruption to you.'
BA said it would run a full schedule at Gatwick and London City airports for flights scheduled between the 24th and 29th of May. At Heathrow, it said it would operate more than 60% of long-haul flights and more than 50% of short-haul flights.
At APX, we are currently contacting all customers scheduled to fly into or out of Europe on British Airways (BA) flights, to double check all BA flight itineraries. If you are scheduled to fly with BA between the 24th of May and the 9th of June 2010, please contact your designated Consultant at APX to confirm your flights prior to travelling.
British Airways have asked passengers not to go to the airport unless they have a confirmed booking.
